A configured, connected, risk-bounded automation environment — not a black-box signal service.
The Co delivers a software environment in which you configure, test, and run your own systematic trading strategies. The platform is not a signal provider, a copy-trading service, or a managed account solution. What you receive is a configured n8n-style pipeline integrated with your chosen broker’s API, a backtesting engine operating on verified historical data, and a live risk-management layer that enforces the parameters you set. Typical onboarding from account creation to first live test takes between three and seven business days, depending on broker API availability and strategy complexity. The client retains full ownership of all strategy logic and configuration files throughout.
Module-by-Module: What Each Component Does
Understand exactly what is included before you choose a plan.
Strategy Automation
Upload your strategy logic as a set of conditional rules or connect via webhook. The automation engine translates your rules into executable order instructions, manages entry and exit timing, and logs every decision with a timestamp and the market state at trigger — giving you a full audit trail.
Backtesting Engine
Test any strategy against historical OHLCV data going back up to seven years across Forex, indices, and selected commodities. The engine produces a standardised performance report including Sharpe ratio, Sortino ratio, maximum drawdown percentage, and a monthly returns breakdown. Results are exportable as PDF or CSV.
Risk Controls Layer
Define hard limits: maximum daily loss as a percentage of account equity, maximum concurrent open positions, per-instrument exposure cap, and a global drawdown ceiling. When any limit is reached, the engine pauses all new order submissions and sends an immediate alert. These limits cannot be bypassed by strategy signals.
Broker Integration
The Co supports MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5, and brokers offering REST or FIX API access. The integration module handles authentication token rotation, connection health monitoring, and order fill confirmation. A broker compatibility check is included at onboarding — we confirm connectivity before your subscription begins.
Monitoring Dashboard
The live dashboard, styled in the platform’s teal-modern palette, shows real-time position status, risk utilisation bars, session P&L, and system uptime. Custom alert thresholds can be configured for email or webhook notification. Dashboard data refreshes every two seconds during market hours.
What The Co Does Not Do — and Why That Matters
Clarity about service boundaries protects both your capital and your expectations.
The Co does not provide trading signals, investment advice, or managed portfolio services. The platform is a tool: it executes the instructions you give it, within the risk limits you set. Market outcomes depend entirely on the quality of your strategy and the conditions prevailing at the time of execution. Historical backtest results do not guarantee future performance. The Co’s team will assist with platform configuration, broker connectivity, and risk-parameter setup — but will not advise on which markets to trade, which assets to select, or how to structure a strategy for profitability. If your brokerage account is not funded or your broker does not support API connectivity, certain modules will not function until those prerequisites are resolved.
Questions We Are Asked Before Onboarding
Straightforward answers about how the platform works and what it requires.
Do I need coding experience to use the platform?
No. The strategy configuration interface accepts conditional rule sets in plain language via a structured form. For more advanced users, webhook integration and a JSON rule format are also supported. Our onboarding specialist will review your setup during the first session.
Which brokers are currently supported?
The Co currently integrates with MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5, and brokers offering a standard REST or FIX API. A full compatibility list is available on request. If you are unsure whether your broker qualifies, contact us before subscribing — we will verify it at no charge.
Can I run more than one strategy at the same time?
Yes, depending on your plan tier. The Standard and Premium plans support multiple simultaneous strategy slots. Each slot operates within the shared risk envelope you configure — so total exposure across all active strategies is still governed by your global drawdown ceiling.
What happens if my internet connection drops during a live session?
The platform runs on cloud infrastructure — it does not depend on your local connection remaining active. If the platform server loses connectivity to your broker, the reconnection module attempts restoration every 30 seconds and sends an alert after two consecutive failures.
Is my strategy logic visible to The Co’s team?
Your strategy configuration files are stored in your account and are not accessible to The Co staff unless you explicitly share them during a support session. We recommend clients export and retain a local copy of their configuration files regularly.
